In depth

Verdict

Dual Listed winner and Group 2-placed Katla looks certain to win her share this season but this is her first time on an artificial surface. Santo Padre paid the price for completing a hat-trick at the end of 2009 and has struggled subsequently, though was placed in Group company last season and has a victory over the C&D to his credit. CELERINA reappeared last season to land a handicap over the C&D from a mark of 78. Her later form included a second in a Listed contest and she's given the vote to make a winning return to action. Balmont Mast looks a major threat after his excellent form at the backend of last season where he completed a double before beaten a length by Nocturnal Affair in a C&D Listed event.
