The strongest form claims are held by Ballygriffin Kid, who is a speculative choice here as there are a few others who have shown ability in the past including Blackmail and Bravura. The selection has at least managed a recent victory, beating Mad over the mile trip here. He has since gone close in decent events at Wolverhampton and Southwell and although this trip in unknown territory he should be capable of going close in this company. Bravura is running much better than his form figures suggest having gone down by just four lengths to Gingko here earlier this month. He was successful over course and distance a couple of years ago and can go well at a decent price. Blackmail has disappointed on a couple of occasions recently but has claims on his third behind Barton Sands early last month. So yet another tough race to access, but Bally Griffin Kid has the best recent form and just edges the decision.
