Absolute Utopia is the pick to beat Scotty's Future, Steely Dan, Burgundy and Captain Darling in the final race on the card. Scotty's Future is a law unto himself sometimes as he showed when throwing in the towel behind Vortex at Wolverhampton, but still retains enough ability to be dangerous at this level. He has in fact won on his last two visits to Lingfield, most recently when scoring in selling company, but has nothing in hand over Absolute Utopia whom he beat a neck only just over three weeks ago. John Spearing's charge can now renew rivalry on 12lb better terms which should be more than enough to help turn the tables. In addition, he is even more well in compared to an earlier narrow defeat by today's topweight and must have a major say here. Steely Dan has been in fine fettle over the past few weeks, and although upped in the weights slightly, should be prominent and can reach the frame at least. Burgundy and Captain Darling were both beaten favourites last time, but have claims on their best form. However, at the weights, Absolute Utopia has leading claims and gets the vote.
