held up, headway 2f out, switched right over 1f out, pressed winner entering final furlong, held close home
made all, driven and edged right final furlong, held on well
tracked leaders, not much room on inside on entering final 2f, driven and stayed on inside final furlong
close up, pressed winner 3f out to 2f out, soon weakened
slowly into stride, soon switched left towards rear, outpaced over 4f out, kept on from over 1f out
held up, never dangerous
A very trappy contest that could rest between the top weights Siena Star and Say What You See, the latter just edges the decision, with Active Account a possible for a place. Say What You See is improving with every outing and was only just touched off by Karaoke in a similar contest to this earlier this month. There were some decent all-weather performers behind that day and the John Hills trained colt can go one better today. Siena Star takes a step down in distance and class for this contest and rates a big danger to the selection. Paul Cole's charge was fourth behind High Point in a class C handicap in November, that was over a mile and a half, but he produced some of his best efforts last winter over this trip, so looks certain to take a hand in the finish. Active Account rarely runs a bad race and once again ran up to his mark when second behind La Puce at Wolverhampton, if the extra distance isn't a problem he could well make a race of it. Lower down the handicap Bank On Him catches the eye on recent form, but Say What You See should be capable of landing first prize.
