Mark Johnson has one runner at this meeting so GREEN PASSION is the pick with Lacrosse and Mile High Lad the others of note. The son of Forestry produced an improved effort earlier this month and with the likelihood that he has come on for the first run for some time, we will take our chances against runners that are likely to be put up at shorter prices. Lacrosse has to be respected from the Michael Jarvis camp. A half-brother to Oaks winner, Love Divine, he could literally be anything. Mile High Lad was strongly fancied ahead of his last run over course-and-distance but was struggling from some way out. Haljafiera is bred for this trip so don't be surprised to see him leave behind previous efforts over seven and eight furlongs. Sign Of Approval appears to have regressed so his mark of 74 may prove a little questionable on what we have seen thus far. Signella showed precious little on debut but Chris Catlin takes the ride when presumably he would have had a choice of plenty. It is impossible to work out what quality we have in this race until after the finish of it. However, Green Passion has plenty of ticks in the right boxes and is therefore the one that receives our recommendation.
