Mary Carleton is in good form and could be the answer to this tricky contest with Tintawn Gold and Icannshift put forward as the main dangers. The selection missed the break and could never get competitive at Southwell last time over 1m behind Sir Bond. The step up in trip will suit and as she is lightly-raced there may still be more to come, so she looks the one to beat in this moderate affair. Tintawn Gold rates the main danger as she ran her best race for some time when a good second behind Indian Blaze over this course and distance. If she gets the strong gallop that she needs then she could go close. Icannshift is proving to be a frustrating type and he looked as though he failed to see out the trip over 8f last time. The step up to 1m2f is therefore unlikely to play to his strengths and we are happy to take him on. Saucy is from a shrewd yard and is another to consider, but for the winner we return to Mary Carleton.
