In depth

Verdict

Little Acorn started favourite on her debut at Taunton in March but ran green and lost her chance on the home bend before staying on. She'll know more here and must be respected though BRIAC has the advantage of a recent run and looks the one to be on. Jim Best's charge returned from a break with a fair run in what looked a better race than this at Fontwell and can get off the mark. Mr Mountain won twice between the flags in Ireland before finishing tailed off last of four on his bumper debut at Kempton which wasn't his form so expect much better. Kelpie Blaze is related to numerous winners on the Flat so should have more pace than these though the conditions may be a problem.
