Council Member is a useful tool for Godolphin to be reintroducing at this stage of the season and he is preferred to Mostashaar and Party Boss. The last named has been lightly raced since a spell in Dubai at the start of this year, but handles this surface well and, as a three-time course winner, he has to be respected as a live danger. A recent spin at Wolverhampton proved that he still retains plenty of ability and the son of Silver Patriarch rates as good value at the likely odds. Mostashaar is by a sire capable of producing winners on the All Weather and will also be a potent force if he adapts to the Polytrack. Violette, who drops markedly in grade, is another that is worth a mention and any support for Sir Mark Prescott's filly is would not be arriving without foundation. However, she comes here on the back of two very disappointing efforts and now has something to prove. Therefore, it can pay to stick with the 'Boys in Blue' again, whose Council Member has a solid profile for a race like this. The son of Seattle Slew goes well fresh, is bred to appreciate the surface and with doubts about most of his rivals, the four-year-old looks to have been found an ideal opening to kick-start his career again.
