Despite concerns about her ability to act on the Polytrack AEGEAN SHADOW looks well handicapped and can score once more, this time at the expense of Copperwood and Lodi. Henry Cecil's filly made a winning debut over six furlongs last term before disappointing at Kempton and it's that effort that concerns us - perhaps she needs turf to produce her best. However we're going to give her a chance as she's impressed this term, doing well to score last time after getting badly bumped as she made her challenge. This strong-travelling sort rates much better than the bare form of that success and can defy a 9lb rise in the weights. Copperwood could be value for the forecast as he likes it here and is better than recent efforts suggest having been set too much to do last time, prior to which he was keen and didn't see out the mile. He's now only 4lbs higher than when last successful and this triple course and distance winner should acquit himself well. Lodi is 4lbs below his last winning mark and ran well at Leicester last time so needs consideration, Lady Kent has been running in plating races but isn't impossibly treated just 4lbs higher than her last handicap win which came here whilst the lightly-raced Cape Quarter is clearly though capable of better but hasn't impressed this term. Waterloo Dock goes well here but may be handicapped out of winning for now and with Salient without a win in over two years this looks best left to Aegean Shadow.
