Basaata can open her account at the expense of Soft Morning, Becharm and Diamond Light to name but a few. Some interesting fillies line up here, not least Basaata who made a promising debut at Newbury in September when third to the useful Darrfonah. That form could turn out to be worth following, and this well-bred filly, whose dam is related to Bosra Sham, will be fresh from a three-month break. Soft Morning is a daughter of Pivotal, so it remains to be seen whether she will appreciate this fast surface or not, but any market support should be heeded. Becharm needed the experience at Kempton last month and should improve markedly, while Diamond Light should be more the finished article but is already looking a bit exposed. For the winner we return to Basaata.
