A field full of disappointing types, but Debbie left quite an impression when winning at Newmarket earlier this month, and is the choice to see off the likes of Castaway Queen and Anyhow. The selection looked to have been given plenty to do when sent in pursuit of the winner at Headquarters, but she stuck gamely to her task, to wear down the front-running Shasta in the latter stages. She can probably be rated slightly better than the bare form and a 4lbs rise in the handicap could prove to be lenient. Castaway Queen looks to face a stiff task for a maiden, as she is well exposed and it would be something of a surprise if she was good enough to give the weight away. Wherever she finishes Top Of The Class won't be far away as they are closely matched on their running at Bath. Anyhow goes better here than anywhere else and is certainly well treated on the best of her form. This looks her optimum trip and she looks certain to give a good account. However, Debbie comes here in good form, and is probably open to a little more improvement than her rivals.
