Not a race to get heavily involved in, but Leicester winner Mistral Sky, course and distance winner Indian Warior and Muqtadi look three of the more likely suspects and the latter gets a rather tentative vote. A frustrating character, who normally does himself no favours by walking out of the stalls, he certainly has the ability to make them all go, if breaking on level terms. This is probably his optimum trip and reasonably handicapped on just a 2lbs higher mark than when last successful. Indian Warrior, the winner of a similar contest here last year, is only 3lbs higher and must have a serious chance from what could turn out to be a good draw. Mistral Sky owes his Leicester success to a fine piece of riding by Philip Robinson, who ploughed a lone furrow up against the far side rails. He has more to do under his penalty, but he is at least on good terms with himself. However, in a race that is ultra competitive Muqtadi is a rather hopeful choice.
