In depth

Verdict

In a race that seems to lack strength in depth, we will nominate Hard Top ahead of Western House and Silent Jo. Fifth to Proclamation in a mile maiden on his only start to date, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Hard Top catches the eye here. Given that he is by Darshaan out of a Sadler's Wells mare, today's trip will suit and he can go well, the winner of his maiden having proven to be on the verges of Group class. With his stable in very good from, Western House, who ran with promise last time when second to a Sir Michael Stoute runner, can get some of his money back after making the long haul from Yorkshire, while Silent Jo has shown enough to be competitive at this level and has to be on the shortlist, while Low Fold Flyer, who has likeable breeding could well prove best of the rest. Overall, though, the vote goes to Hard Top.
