Silver Blue can make experience count over Sharp Thrust, with City Chancer and Veba expected to run well. It can pay to follow another Richard Hannon youngster here in the shape of Silver Blue who was doing all his best work at the finish when a close third to the odds-on Genari over six furlongs at Salisbury on his last start in June. Prior to that he had lined up against the highly-rated Sir Percy at Goodwood, and was not disgraced in finishing sixth of 11. He should have too much experience for Sharp Thrust who showed plenty of speed to finish third on his Windsor debut. With that in mind he is not guaranteed to enjoy the step up in trip, and his entries later on in the year reveal that he may indeed end up as a six-furlong horse. City Chancer has not shown much yet, including when a beaten favourite at Wolverhampton. Veba really picked up well in the closing stages on his Windsor introduction and should be monitored in the market. Alan King does well with his small string of Flat horses, so Your Amount is worth noting for the future, but Silver Blue sets the standard so is the selection.
