In the Listed Spring Cup GREYFRIARSCHORISTA is progressive so despite having a little to do based on the ratings he has the call ahead of Hanson'd whilst Duplicity has also to be respected. On a four-timer having landed a maiden and two handicaps the pick is from a yard who have been firing all winter. Those last two victories have been very impressive, so whilst he has class to prove at this level he should progress again and is race fit. Fitness may be the concern with regard to Kevin Ryan's Hanson'd who makes his seasonal debut. He's well served by the framing of this contest but is untested on the surface so can be taken on. Duplicity is already proven at this level having won a similar race at Doncaster last time. He seemed to handle Kempton's polytrack just fine earlier in his career and when this jockey and trainer team up their chance of glory has to be respected. Star Gaze is best in on these terms but has it all to prove in this company whilst Jira is given a shout hailing as he does from a yard in form. A great contest is in store, with Greyfriarschorista taken to continue his upward curve and win.
