      Verdict

      A chance is taken with ART MAN, who is a sporting choice to get the better of Trifti and Manshoor - two in-form rivals that are capable of pushing the selection to the wire. My Shadow is another to bear in mind, as he also has an entry at Bath later in the week, so his connections are obviously keen to get him on the track. However, the last named has struggled against this sort of opposition in the past and he may be better off giving weight away to lesser rivals. Manshoor is likely to be popular after his victory over course and distance earlier in the month. A 6lb higher mark obviously complicates matters today, though. Trifti is a consistent type that has a good record at Lingfield. However, he has never won over a mile and a half, so needs everything to go his way. Therefore, it can pay to cast the net towards Art Man, who is a winner over a variety of distances but has often created the impression this trip is not a problem for him. The handicapper has given him a chance off his current mark and Art Man looks a fair bet to live up to any expectations of a big run for the money.
