Our Men has been given plenty of time by trainer Charlie Egerton and is taken to fulfill the promise of his debut effort two seasons ago and score at the main expense of The Grey Man and Royal Stardust. The selection ran a race full of promise at Uttoxeter in April 2003 behind Native Ivy and as his trainer can produce one fit after an absence, the lack of a recent run need not be of concern. The Seamus Mullins-trained The Grey Man arguably has the best form on offer but has been campaigned over shorter and is not certain to appreciate today's longer trip. Royal Stardust, who represents the yard of Terry Mills, also steps up in distance but is at least bred to appreciate it. He rates a bigger threat than Gary Moore's Optimo, who was well beaten on his debut. The Richard Phillips-trained Go Harvey Go is bred for jumping but may find this track too quick for him and a safer bet may be Our Men, who is taken to defy his absence from the track.
