Very Well Red was good value for her win at Southwell last week but a 6lb penalty for that success makes this tougher for Peter Hiatt's mare, especially on this different surface, and a better bet looks to be ALFREDTHEORDINARY, who gets the vote ahead of Moayed. Nick Littmoden's gelding has shown a consistent level of form of late and the 10-year-old has slipped to decent mark but he has not won for sometime and may have to settle for minor honours again. Gary Moore has his string in good form so Free Tussy has to be considered but he would need to step up on previous form to take a hand here. Double Valentine ran better at Kempton last time and has claims on that evidence, while Kielty's Folly is less exposed than most of these and looks to be going the right way. Miss Clarice is similarly lightly raced and has to be considered having dropped to a fair mark but it is Alfredtheordinary that gets the vote. Mick Channon's gelding put earlier disappointments behind him when running out the good winner of a course and distance handicap earlier this month and he has every chance of following up off just a 5lb higher mark today.
