Double Brew could be worth an interest in this five-furlong handicap. John Spearing's gelding was a length adrift of River Days in a Wolverhampton claimer earlier this month but meets that rival on 8lb better terms. The son of Primo Dominie has run well here before, has winning form over the trip and at the odds looks value. Topweight Cargo races off just a 2lb higher mark than when scoring at Sandown in July but has a two month absence to overcome, as does Tim Etherington's Karminskey Park. Les Montague Hall's Badou has shot up in the weights for his win in a claimer over six furlongs last time and looks to have plenty to do now. Pulse is entitled to strip fitter or his first start in over a year when Bullfighter at Wolverhampton earlier in the week but it is asking a lot of the son of Salse to win this. Beverley Macca has a good record here from limited opportunities (one win and a close fourth from two starts) and should again be thereabouts.
