Impeller is taken to defy topweight at the expense of Pagan Sword, Tout Les Deux and Very Wise to name but a few. Although Impeller's last success here came in a claimer, he has taken on much better company since, contesting Group and Listed races at Goodwood before going over to race at Nad Al Sheba for the winter. Stan Moore's charge has found his form alright with the sun on his back, winning a competitive handicap before failing valiantly to defy a 6lb rise. With that in mind, he must surely go close providing he has settled back in, and he can give weight away all round. Pagan Sword and Tout Les Deux finished third and fourth respectively behind the odds-on Mighty here in February, and Amanda Perrett's five-year-old should at least uphold that form on today's terms. You can forget the last run of Very Wise at Wolverhampton, as his head was stuck in the stalls when the gates opened. He is worth considering for a place at least, but for the winner we like the look of Impeller.
