The Paul Blockley-trained Smartstar Princess has moped up in low-grade contests of late and is the stand out selection from this moderate bunch. However, her stablemate Rellim is no back number at this level and is no forlorn hope of making it a one-two for the stable if he gets the breaks in running. The ultra consistent Soaked still retains plenty of his old dash and appeals as the main threat from the remainder. He acted well at the course when he was last campaigned here almost four years ago and if the return to Lingfield sparks his enthusiasm, he will be hard to peg back over this easy five. However, he is vulnerable to a more progressive sort and, considering Smartstar Princess has only been penalised 10lb for landing her four-timer, she fits the bill for a race like this. Connections nominated this race immediately after her course and distance win in a seller on Wednesday and, with Stacey Renwick taking 5lb off her back, yet another bold bid is anticipated form the Soviet Star filly.
