Star Fern might provide the answer here with Jumeirah Scarer and Till There Was You catching the eye as possible dangers although, as ever with these events, keep a close eye on the betting market. The selection finished a neck behind Jumeirah Scarer when they met here on 17 December - Saucy Pickle looks held on that form - but he looks set to improve considerably on that run and might well gain his revenge today. Jumeirah Scarer was just touched off over course and distance last time but his form is not out of the ordinary. He should go well but, if there's anything decent in the field he could be vulnerable. Turning to the others, Ground Patrol showed some promise here on his debut and should appreciate the step up to a mile. Second User has plenty to like on breeding, while Till There Was You is a half-sister to the smart Red Carpet so should be monitored in the betting. To add further interest, Barry Hills' runs Fizzy Lady, who showed promise in two back-end Turf maidens last year but who has yet to race on the all-weather. Overall, then, in an interesting little affair, Star Fern gets the vote.
