Verdict

Sweeney gets the confident vote in this novice stakes with Nordic Affair and History Boy the others for the shortlist. The selection looked a nice colt when making a winning debut over this course and distance. He narrowly beat Saviour Sand that day but he was good value for the winning margin and he looks sure to improve for tghe run as he did show signs of greenness. Nordic Affair showed improved form to beat Resplendent Ace over 7f here last time. However, he is not sure to be suited by this step up in trip and we are happy to take him on. History Boy has got some decent form but he gave the impression when getting his head in front last time that he is better over a longer trip than this. Tokyo Jo has been running with great credit of late and is the other to consider, but Sweeney sets a fair benchmark for the rest here and gets the vote.
