Border Fox, Spare Me and Malmoos form the shortlist in a competitive contest to open the card and the vote is given to Border Fox. The selection showed plenty of promise on his debut when he finished third behind Beauty One at Ayr. He proved that day that he handles testing ground and with nominal improvement he should prove tough to beat. Spare Me showed up well on his debut when finishing third behind Lease Lend on soft ground at Wetherby. He is sure to come on for that run and if the selection fails to fire then he could be the one to profit. Malmoos is an interesting newcomer from a yard that are in good form at present and he is certainly worth noting in the market. Mystically made a pleasing debut and is another with each-way prospects, but Border Fox sets a fair benchmark and gets the vote.
