In depth

Verdict

Winds Supreme gets the confident vote in this handicap hurdle with That's Racing and Shaman the pair most likely to chase him home. The selection looks to have everything in his favour here as he is a course and distance winner and he won well last time on heavy ground when beating Tetragon at Uttoxeter. He has worked well at home since then and he sets the standard for the rest. That's Racing won on the soft at Sedgefield last time to end his long losing sequence, but this is more competitive and he will need to step-up on that effort to get his head in front today. Shaman is a game and consistent sort but his best form is on a faster surface and he may struggle in these testing conditions. College City is a course and distance winner and it would be no surprise to see him make the frame, but for the winner we will stick with Winds Supreme.
