Mister Mackenzie finished a promising third over 6f on the Polytrack here on his debut and should be thereabouts, but CONFUCIUS ELITE is just preferred. He was also placed over a longer trip on the all-weather track here last month when runner-up to Integrity with the third a long way behind. He can go one better here, although La Bocca has shown plenty of early pace over 6f and could prove a bigger threat than Lana, who failed to improve on her debut effort when fourth at Sandown in July. Purple 'n Gold has his debut for a stable in fine form and makes most appeal of the newcomers.
