      Verdict

      Elysees Palace made a winning reappearance at Newcastle but was beaten off today’s higher mark at the same track last time. Cry Wolf has been competing over longer trips since scoring over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in November and can figure but a chance is taken on ARCH MY BOY. The latter had little chance in a conditions race over 2m last time but was second over today’s trip at Kempton before that and improvement is expected now handicapping for the first time with an apprentice’s 7lb allowance helping his cause. Wapping has switched yards again since last seen in action over a year ago and White Shaheen is having only his second start since 2016.
