A potentially informative maiden and one that can go to JOHNNY CASTLE for the in-form John Gosden stable. The son of Shamardal has shown abundant promise in both starts and should have no problem with the drop back to seven furlongs, while the surface isn't expected to prove a barrier to success either, so with the trainer having saddled six winners from his last nine runners prior to writing it may take a smart performance to beat him. Plenty was expected of Blue Tiger's Eye ahead of his debut but he found one too good and a similar scenario is entirely possible here as he does need to improve to beat our selection and may just find things happening a bit quickly, as might Old Possum from a wide draw. Switchback has a pedigree that suggests he'll do better in time so he's opposed as is Magical Flower, who failed to justify market support at Kempton.
