Recalcitrant is the pick over Follow On, Monets Masterpiece and Art Investor. Some thus far disappointing sorts line up here, not least both Follow On and Art Investor, neither of whom have looked in love with the game so far. They have both thrown away winning opportunities by refusing to go through with their respective efforts in the past, and should be treated with caution. It would be no surprise if one of them did come up trumps though, as they both have ability, but we shall instead take a chance with Recalcitrant. Simon Dow's charge has shaped as though this extra furlong would come in handy on each of his last two outings, and in a race that will take little winning, should make a bold bid. Monets Masterpiece has been placed a few times, and his stable is ticking over nicely now, but the less said about this race the better, with the pin coming down on Recalcitrant.
