In depth

Verdict

Peadar Miguel would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to take a hand in the finish on his debut and the market should be watched closely for Mick Quinlan's colt but a better bet may be NOBLE JACK, who gets the vote ahead of Calculus Affair. Jeremy Noseda's colt was promising on his debut here last month but disappointed on his only subsequent start later in the month behind Fazza and he may not be one to take too short of a price about. Jim Boyle's Oceans Edge is entitled to improve for his debut outing here over seven furlongs earlier this month but needs to, while Takajan has shown some promise in four starts in Ireland but is probably best watched on his debut for Sylvester Kirk. New Den, another runner trained by Jim Boyle, is hard to recommend on all known form and it may be worth siding with Noble Jack. Gary Moore's gelding comes back to action having not been seen since October 2008 but his trainer is more than capable of getting one ready and he would have every chance if able to reproduce his old form.
