Mannikko gets the vote over Pititana, with Nudrah and What Do You Know others to consider. In a fairly open handicap, the progressive Mannikko is taken to add to his narrow success at Bath a fortnight ago, with a rise in the weights unlikely to halt his progress. Having raced on softer ground last year, he proved equally adept on a much faster surface at Bath when driven out to score, and this extra furlong will not be a problem. Pititana posted a fast time when opening her account at Folkestone, but that was over five furlongs, and the step back up might not be entirely in her favour. Nudrah disappointed when put into a York nursery on his final outing last October but has potential and should not be forgotten this term, while What Do You Know is another progressive sort that might be in need of the run. They appear to be the main protagonists, with Mannikko taken to make the most of his fitness.
