In depth

Verdict

The in-form Wrighty Almighty gets the nod in the finale, with Paradise Dancer and Harvest Warrior spearheading the challenge from the quartet of intended rivals. (Epidurian King, who completes the line-up, appears to have plenty to find in this company.) Harvest Warrior won over course and distance last month and was then unlucky not to add to his tally at Wolverhampton four days ago. David Elsworth's charge is a consistent type and should make a bold attempt again today. Paradise Dancer comfortably brushed aside Onenightinlisbon here nine days ago and, even under a 6lb penalty, she is confidently expected to uphold that form. The Danehilll Dancer filly still has scope to improve over this trip and rates as the biggest threat to the selection. However, Wrighty Almighty has really held his form since Christmas and, with the strength of Jim Crowley to assist him again from the saddle, there is every reason to expect the partnership will be the ones to beat again here.
