Aphrodisia looks almost too obvious and is likely to represent poor value for a horse that has failed to get off the mark in six previous starts, so she is taken on with Crispian, who is fancied to prove the handicapper right in his current assessment of the colt being the best horse in the race. Flight Dream is going the right way and can fend off National Day to claim the bets of the rest position. Admittedly, Aphrodisia has done very little wrong in her last three starts and it would be harsh to just write her off as a weak finisher. Today's extra furlong may be a help and only the proposition of very cramped odds forces the hand to look elsewhere for a potentially good return. With Crispian standing out as the best option today. The son of Hernando (who cost 105,000 euro) is fancied to improve for the step up in trip today and, with the surface not expected to be a problem, William Haggas' charge looks worth a punt in a race of this nature.
