Park Star gets the vote over Boanerges and Zazous to name but two. This looks fairly competitive considering that is it Banded flare, and we shall nominate Park Star to add to her December course-and-distance success that was also at this level. It was a good training feat by Derek Shaw to have her ready to bounce back after a seven-month absence to gain her first victory in over two years, but she has not had the best of luck since. The draw has proved her downfall on a couple of occasions as well, but she looked on the way back when a very close third to Zazous here last week, and is weighted to turn the tables on the latter who has himself already failed to follow up five days ago. Boanerges has been holding his form well at Southwell since scoring over the track-and-trip in December, and will have no problems with the switch back to this surface, so is on the short-list. Shirley Oaks will be lucky to get the run of the race as she did when landing a claimer here 12 days ago, and is passed over, but any support for previous course winners Davids Mark or Teyaar should be noted. Park Star is the pick.
