held up, under pressure over 2f out, never troubled leaders
dwelt, held up rear, headway 2f out, kept on final furlong, nearest finish

held up mid-division, chased leaders over 2f out, hung left, one pace final furlong
led until headed over 1f out, hard ridden, weakened final furlong
in touch, stayed on to take 2nd final furlong but not trouble winner
towards rear, headway 2f out, kept on final furlong, nearest finish
Possibly the most competitive race on the card, Big Bradford should go well off top weight, but Celtic Heroine is just given the nod, with Brave Maestro another to consider. The selection landed a maiden here last month in great style beating Count Dracula by a comfortable two lengths, and then wasn't disgraced in a tough looking nursery at Newbury. She gets into this event on a very tempting mark and will take all the beating. Big Bradford has earned his hefty weight having acquitted himself with credit in some decent races including the Redcar two-year-old-trophy when finishing a close up fourth. Bravo Maestro is the least exposed runner in the field and is certain to improve on his recent facile success over course and distance. Others to note include Rise and Knight On the Tiles but Celtic Heroine is taken to land her second course victory.
