Verdict

Desert Fire hasn’t won for over a year and has his first start since March having been gelded during the interim. The other Godolphin runner Walton Street has been off the track even longer having placed in a Group 3 in France in August last year but Sextant should be spot on now after a couple of outings last month and won a Listed prize at Chester at this time last year. EL MISK (NAP) went close in Listed company at Newmarket when ahead of a subsequent Group 3 winner before finding the soft going at Haydock against him. John Gosden’s colt looks worth another chance back on a fast surface and is also preferred to Shailene and Celtic Art.
