In an interesting handicap to finish with, Rudry World is taken to get the better of Apache Fort and Gallego. Gallego was touched off by Royal Flynn at Haydock, and the winner has gone in again since. That represents solid form, and given time to recover from his exertions, Gallego's chances are respected. A winner twice in January, Apache Fort has failed to score since, although he has been the epitome of consistency, never finishing out of the first four since. He ran well over a three furlong longer trip last time at Newmarket, staying on at the finish, and the suspicion is that he may be better over further. A winner of a seller and second in a claimer, both races at Wolverhampton, Rudry World returned to handicap company last time at Beverley, having the well backed Sudden Impulse behind when finishing a close second. That was a good effort, and with his ability to handle this surface and the fact that he receives weight from all but one of his rivals here, Rudry World can go one better.
