In depth

Verdict

Fateful Attraction, Furbeseta and Pivotalia are the three who look set to dominate this handicap, with Fateful Attraction set to step up further on an improved effort last time and take this. Pivotalia looks a winner waiting to happen, showing good form this year after showing a glimpse of form last year. She has held every chance in each of her last two starts before being touched off close home, and she may find one too good again. Furbeseta ran well to be second on her re-appearance for Luca Cumani at Kempton, and was strongly fancied to win at Nottingham next time. However, having made good progress to challenge, she faded in the closing stages. Back from ten furlongs to a mile here, she is respected. Fateful Attraction won at Kempton in November, and showed ditinct signs of a return to that sort of form when staying on well to be a close third to Nan Jan last time over this course and distance. That was the winner's third victory in recent weeks, and the form looks solid. Fateful Attraction can resume winning ways.
