Verdict

Mythical Kid looked a colt to keep on the right side of after two starts for Sir Michael Stoute last season but now with Godolphin, who have made a poor start to the current campaign, he looks worth taking on with preference for Many Volumes who gets the vote ahead of Kid Mambo. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind subsequent Cheshire Oaks winner Light Shift on his return at Newbury last month and has to be respected. Hearthstead Maison put up a nice performance to land a valuable handicap at Newmarket earlier this month but this looks a lot tougher for him. Aqaleem could be of interest but Marcus Tregoning has made a slow start to the campaign so he looks best left out of calculations. The vote then goes to Many Volumes, who showed progressive form last term and created a favourable impression when making a winning return at Leicester last month.
