There are plenty of familiar faces in this fiercely competitive handicap and GOLDEN PROSPECT can be no more than a hopeful choice ahead of in-form rivals such as Art Market and Bold Rose amongst others. The selection posted a decent effort over six furlongs on his latest start when a head in front of Dream Express and promises to be suited by the step back up in trip. He was wearing a visor for the first time that day and the change in headgear may help to reverse his fortunes whilst Eddie Ahern has won on him in the past so it's a positive that he's back in the saddle. Bold Rose came from the clouds to collar Tamino over course and distance and there may not be a great deal to choose between the pair again whilst Cavalry Guard wasn't too far away in third. Art Market has yet to win on the all-weather but he was running well when last in action and came as close as he's ever done to winning when partnered by Spencer on his most recent start. Greystoke Prince is well worth a second look as he wasn't too far behind Tamino on his last couple of starts and Neil Callan takes over in the saddle from Caroline Kelly who has been aboard for the gelding's last six starts. Those are just a few of the runners with claims but we're going to go with Golden Prospect.
