        Verdict

        A closely-matched selling contest in which GODFREY STREET is preferred to Bo McGinty and Stash. Tony Newcombe's gelding is an uncomplicated front-runner at his best and the hope is that he can dominate this field from the front. Whilst he can miss the break occasionally, the feeling is that should he break on terms he can rack up another course win. Bo McGinty is also proven here but recent perormances have not been great; his chance may rest on any market support. Tartatartufata is another course and distance winner and whilst he isn't getting better at the age of eight, his recent third to Total Impact looks solid enough form for this level. A tongue-tie is tried on Stash, The Cuckoo needs a market check after a break, whilst Buy On The Red is the top-rated in the race. He needs plenty of respect given his good recent form but a 5lb penalty makes life tough. Godfrey Street is preferred.
