      Verdict

      MING MASTER is taken to triumph ahead of Market Puzzle and newcomer Albertus Pictor. William Haggas' Tobougg gelding is rated 72 after three runs this winter. After a slow start at Lingfield, his next two runs at Wolverhampton and Kempton were much improved. He shapes as if this slower surface will suit and from the plum draw he can prevail. Dream Win has a first start for Brian Ellison this afternoon; he was picked up for 10,000 guineas at the Newmarket Sales in October but he needs to improve if he is to give lots of weight away all-round. Newcomer Albertus Pictor is starting off at a more suitable trip than many of his stablemates often do. There is plenty of class on his dams side and whilst he will need further in time he would be interesting in this average maiden if the market spoke volumes. Market Puzzle is rated 68 and therefore probably the main danger. Mark Brisbourne's Bahamian Bounty gelding has a first start for the yard today and if he lasts home over this longer trip then he can run well. The others look to be making up the numbers, so we will return to Ming Master as the winner.
