Verdict

Beauvrai was a very easy winner first time on the all weather at Wolverhampton last week, but on his own trainer's admission he didn't beat much, and he is again trying out a new surface on the equitrack here. Admittedly he looks sure to go very close following that win, but the TEAMtalk vote will go to the other recent winner with experience here, Aventura. Michael Jarvis has said that he will keep the colt to races at Lingfield, and that can pay dividends again here. The selection certainly had to battle much harder for his win than Beauvrai, but with the under his belt and improvement expected, he is just given the nod. Dusty Dazzler was a bit disappointing until last time out when third in a conditions race over course and distance. However, she will find it hard against the other two off level weights and even her jockey's claim should not be enough. Uhuru Dawn was well beaten on his only start here and since then has picked up a moderate seller at Folkestone and then been disappointing. This doesn't look to be the race for a surprise comeback. Floppie Disk is a 5f specialist, with a Nottingham win to her name from back in June, but this is her first time on the equitrack and she may need this after a decent break.
