Verdict

The betting could provide clues to Aleef’s well-being as he returns to action but Dane O’Neill prefers him to Muatadel. The latter has a slightly higher handicap rating than COLONEL BOSSINGTON but Bill Knight’s charge ran well at Kempton in March ahead of a subsequent dual winner and a repeat should see him go close again. Placed over 5f here in June, Hepworth Marble should do better this year while Recent Acquisition is out of a prolific dam and preferred to Cold Snap of the newcomers.
