Monte Alto, Adabi and Cape Thea are the three for the shortlist and we stick with the first named. Luca Cumani has introduced some nice maidens this term and this colt looks to be yet another. He was far from disgraced in his juvenile career and with connections deciding not to make the unkindest cut of all, the evidence points to the fact that he must have showed something at home. Adabi was quietly backed last time out and has to be respected. Marcus Tregoning's yard are apparently over their ills but we'd like to see that backed up with hard cash. Cape Thea ran well on debut but was well beaten on seasonal reappearance. Hugh Morrison's runners have tended to need their first run so One Giant Leap is noted for the future. Not the strongest of races in terms of standard but one in which Monte Alto has an obvious chance of building upon two solid efforts thus far.
