There could be plenty of pace on here, which should suit Mayzin, who is given a the nod after a series of improved efforts in maidens and handicaps of late. Acorazado, Zarfasha and Miss Izzy are all respected as shortlist material, while Adrian Nicholls is an interesting jockey booking for Pants as he would surely have been given the leg up on Locombe Hill had his father required his services. However, as with most of the field, the bottom weight is exposed as moderate and has never been noted for consistency. So in the search for a likely type at a fair price, we return to Mayzin, who put in his best effort to date over course and distance earlier in the week. His connections are obviously keeping him on the go in the hope of picking up a small prize somewhere along the line. And Mayzin would not suffer too much after reassessment where he to oblige here.
