Chanrossa and Prince Charlemagne have to rate highly in a competitive affair but preference is for BELL ISLAND. Remarkably, Lady Herries' runner has scored on his last three visits to Lingfield yet is 5lbs lower than when winning here in March. He did hold his head high when beaten at Wolverhampton but has a good course record, is well handicapped and has won for this jockey. Prince Charlemagne is in fine form at present and simply can't be ignored despite having to shoulder a 6lb penalty for his win at Wolverhampton as he's arguably a better performer at this venue. Chanrossa represents a yard that has been amongst the winners and looks well worth another try at this longer trip having played the bridesmaid on two recent runs over ten. However, connections have been struggling to persuade her to put her head in front and she may be more of an each-way play until doing so. A good number of this field have been in decent form coming into the race which gives it a competitive look but we're happy to side with Bell Island.
