The first of nine headscratchers on the all-weather this afternoon. Plenty of interest from the Newmarket stables although not many of the more fancied runners are drawn well. Dubai Lightning has the form in the book at least. He was a beaten favourite when second to subsequent Group winner, Governor Brown at York, so he is clearly held in high regard at home. The draw of sixteen is no help today and while he possesses clear ability, it may be better to just watch. Nassaro is an interesting debutant from the Sir Michael Stoute stable. Well related to crack sprinter, Namid, he should possess plenty of speed. The market should prove the best guide. Barry Hills' Zeuss is potentially open to improvement. He was sixth to Elusive City on debut despite showing signs of greenness and could literally be anything. Of the remainder, Moon Jaguar makes some appeal. He is closely related to two precocious two year olds in Double Quick and Speedy James and should know his job.
