In depth
Verdict
A minefield for punters with the addition of a long absentee adding to the confusion of sorting through the regulars. Eucalyptus fits into the former category - and its intriguing that the connections of this previous seller winner have decided to try again after so long on the track. Officially on the ratings, he does have something to find but one suspects that the market will tell its own tale. Willie Musson's horses are always respected and on ratings at least, Just Nick is a mile clear. He was a winner of a big Newmarket handicap in 2001 and excusing a couple of below-par runs, he looks a compelling option. He is however opposed with Pancakehill. Gerard Butler's mare is given the TEAMtalk nod after posting a second to Marjurita here a couple of runs ago. A recent effort at Beverley (beaten three lengths) is somewhat better than the bare form suggests; and she would be significantly worse off if this were a handicap.
