Uig is a speculative pick in the finale with Lizzie Wiggins and Moon Crystal the obvious dangers. Uig has been around the block a fair while but she does pop up occasionally at decent prices and over her favourite trip of ten furlongs, we take her to leave behind a moderate run at Bath over a trip that would have been much too far. Lizzie Wiggins won a claimer on debut for Marco Botti. She had a fair yardstick in Bridge Of Fermoy in behind. Moon Crystal does have the tendancy to run a little free in the early stages. If Steve Donohoe can get her anchored early, she has solid claims. Flying Time ran a race not entirely devoid of promise on seasonal reappearance and could be capable of more. Saraba failed to follow up an impressive Kempton win and has not been done any favours by the handicapper. Dream Bee regressed badly last season and has questions to answer. Uig is completely exposed as a betting proposition but her capability of running a decent race is not in question and she is nominated accordingly.
